Meet the Chef Paul Rohadfox
Chef Paul Rohadfox, who first joined Hotel Valencia Santana Row at its inception, now returns to head its kitchen as Executive Chef.
After serving as a United States Marine, Chef Rohadfox moved to California from New York and received culinary training from the renowned Culinary Institute of America.
Having held numerous positions at prestigious hotels and restaurants across California, including The Fork in San Anselmo, the Hilton San Jose, the Renaissance in Palm Springs, Michael Mina’s Arcadia Steakhouse and many more, Chef Rohadfox’s repertoire includes a wide-range of flavors and techniques.
Chef Rohadfox’s skills have been awarded by various culinary bodies, including being named “Best New Chef” at the “Rumba at the Rotunda” in downtown San Jose and his team being named second in “Small Plates” by The Zagat Survey while at The Fork.
His extensive experience allowed him to participate in events including hosting the VIP Gala for the Palm Springs International Film Festival, cooking for NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown and taking part in an awards dinner honoring world-renowned chef Alice Waters of famed restaurant, Chez Panisse. Chef Rohadfox also had the pleasure of hosting the United States Marine Corps Ball three times while cooking at the Renaissance.
He lent his expertise towards community efforts as well, including a regional occupational program to mentor aspiring chefs through John F. Kennedy High School in Fremont, CA.
